How It Works
Welcome to biofeedback – a powerful tool for lasting calm.
Your Meru Health biofeedback device is here to help you understand and transform how your body responds to stress. It works by detecting your pulse and showing you real-time feedback as you practice different breathing exercises.
Think of it as a window into your nervous system. With regular practice, biofeedback trains your body to regulate breathing and heart rate more effectively – bringing both physical relief and mental clarity. Over time, you'll build the kind of calm resilience that helps you navigate stress with confidence. Let's get started with this simple setup guide.
Video Overview
This video offers an introduction to the device and its various features. You can also read through the details in the written section below.
Your Meru Health package includes a USB charger, an ear sensor, a phone stand, and a biofeedback device. The device turns on when the sensor cable is inserted into your charged biofeedback device and turns off when you fully unplug the sensor cable from the device.

Be sure to unplug the device after each use to save battery!

Understanding Indicator Lights
The device has four key light indicators. The color displays will indicate the following:
Blinking Red: Measuring Heart Rate
Solid Red: Low Battery
Solid Green: Charging
No Visible Light: Off and Fully Charged!
Connecting your Ear Sensor
- Open the Meru Health app and open a biofeedback breathing practice.
- Find a comfortable position and prop your phone against a stand or something that will help you sit with your back straight.
- Plug the ear sensor cable into the biofeedback device. This will turn on the device.
- Clip the ear sensor at the end of the cable anywhere on your earlobe.
- The Meru Health app will then connect to the device (if you are prompted to turn on Bluetooth, be sure to do so).
- You will receive a confirmation within the app if the device connection was successful.
